Well, our assurers have really pulled out all the stops and their end of things is now sorted out. All that’s really remaining is tomorrow’s X-rays and waiting for the police clearances to arrive from Scotland Yard. We actually have clearances already but they’re dated February which is probably a bit old – I guess

It’s actually gone surprisingly well, really. We’ve got all the really hard stuff (like making sure we have somewhere to live I can commute from) sorted out. Next week is going to be a lot busier, naturally, but nothing we can’t deal with (assuming I can get a few days of work).

Right. Well, we’ve organised a nice little place to stay in for the few weeks remaining, and have an option of three months should it be needed. Well, last night involved working out exactly what needed to be done. Todays tasks are to get Crown Relocations organised for next week to take the stuff we’re moving to Oz into storage. We need to sort out what we’re taking to a rented place. Realistically it’s only going to be what we can take

Our case officer has just approved us on our preliminary assessment and has requested we submit medical and police reports. Our medicals are taking place on Saturday, with the radiology appointments set up for the following wednesday. Well, now that things are clipping along apace with Adelaide, we were expecting things to get a bit busy. What we didn’t expect, though, is our house buyer to pop up and confirm that he is signing missives tomorrow after all, leaving us a grand total of nine days to find somewhere else to live.
