Back at work today, and God am I cold. The machine room in which I sit isn’t heated, it’s cooled. Forty-two minutes until the holidays – hooray! Had a hellish day today. One of our programmers made a slight hiccup in one of his mailing list scripts resulting in one of the recipients receiving 18000 or so emails. Not a happy bunny. As Systems Director, it was muggins job to phone round and apologise. Gaaaah.

Tristan has this little beany turtle called Terrapi. He’s had it since he was tiny and it’s a very precious toy. Come to think of it, the wee thing has transcended toy and become part of the family. Well, against our recommendations, Terrapi went to school with Tristan today – it being end of term
