Meteos (Nintendo DS)

Bah. Wifie decided to use her new found l33t skillz on me last night. It’s an interesting thing that the DS has awakened the dormant gamer within her. An interesting thing, that is, not necessarily a GOOD thing. In the past, you see, Debbie’s l33t skillz have generally involved sitting up till the wee small hours maliciously removing all trace of my presence from the Pinball Dreams high score table.

Anyhoo – last night was a turn up for the books – it was me saying I really needed to get on with stuff and Debbie nagging for one more go. We were playing Meteos in multiplayer mode – me with my recently recovered silver DS and Debbie with her Barbie Pink one. The wireless link up thing is cool – it squirts a copy of the game to the other DS over 802.11, allowing competitive gameplay with only one cartridge.

Trouble is, I’m completely crap at it. I think I’ve been playing too many turn based rpgs cos just when I thought I was getting somewhere, she’d drop three tons of meteos on me. So, to cut a long story short, I was tanked 🙁
