World of Warcraft (PC)

Well, Trollbert has a new pet to keep Clawbert company in the stables. He’s a cat, of sorts. In fact – he’s specifically this cat:

The Rake

He was a level 10 Elite who got on my nerves a few times back in Mulgore, cos he has insane attack speed. Pretty easy to tame with a level 31 hunter, but it’s proving tricky to level him up because anything that appears green to me (i.e. will give him XP when killed) can pretty much one hit him.

Later that day: Well, Rakebert (for it is he) is now level 13. It’s actually pretty easy to level him – he gets the same XP as me whether he joins combat or not, so I just spent a while in northern stonetalon grinding level 25 greens and he got up a couple of levels in no time. It does seem to take a while to gain trust – much more so than clawby, but then he’s a cat and cats are like that.

  • Wells, interesting but not sure why youre spending the time to level him up

  • Cos it’s fun, mainly. There’s no other reason for it. Sure, he has blinding attack speeds, but I’m sure there are other tameable higher level mobs out there with comparable stats. I just like him.
