Success!
Well, my ACS assessment has come back successful! So, that’ll be 60 points please! With the points being provided by our family in Australia, we now meet the points requirements. There are a few other points given for age, English ability, etc, so we’re well clear of the 120 point pass mark. Now we need to gather together the documentation required for the main visa application.
This is essentially made up of lots and lots of very long forms which, thankfully, our migration agent will fill in for us, to make sure we don’t make a mess of it. Our sponsor has to fill in a couple of forms as well, and include proof of income, residency and so on. We have to dig out about a million birth and marriage certificates to establish our relationship with our Australian sponsors. The General Registrars Office have been blindingly good on this front so far.
