Prey

Prey Box ArtIf there’s one thing the 360 appears to have no shortage of, it’s mediocre shooters. This one is very pretty, has a good variety of things to shoot but is otherwise as dull as dishwater and filled with completely unneccessary bad language, presumably to get that all-important 18 certificate. It’s a yawnfest.

Are you noticing a pattern here, yet? On the one hand, I’m probably not persevering with these games very much because they’re rented and I don’t have to worry about getting a return on investment of 40 quid, but REALLY – rehashing the same tired old FPS cliches and throwing in a few quirky features really does not justify a full price release.

  • I quite liked Prey, until about halfway in and then it went downhill. The spaceship exo-skeleton flying bits that make up way to much of the latter half of the game were just rubbish. Swearing in games doesn’t usually bother me, but your character effs for no apparent reason all the way through and that was just annoying and unnecessary.
