See, this is just annoying. Why is it that certain types of people just aren’t happy unless they’re busy legislating? One of the nice things about blogs is that you take them as they find them. They’re not ever-so-nice reporters in sharp suits with elegantly styled hair reporting only the bits that make money, it’s just a random collection of loonies, loudmouths, and everyday people blabbing on about stuff that’s important to them.
If someone honestly thinks they need to be warned in advance of any coarse language, then I suggest they climb back inside their cotton-wool lined box and leave t’interweb to the grown-ups. Sure, crude language can be annoying, particularly if it’s used on, say, a kids site. But here’s a top tip – monitor your child’s use of the internet and there won’t be a problem. If you don’t like something about a blog or a site, just don’t look at it again. Simply, yes?
I, for one, will not be sticking to a “code of conduct” for maintaining a site which exists, in its entirety, for my own benefit. If anyone is worried they might see something they don’t like, I’d suggest reapplying their blinkers. And whatever you do don’t ever step outside your front door!
