Fickle Me – the Reprise

KDE 3.5.5 DesktopApparently, our Red thinks my Desktop looks like Windoze. Anyone else agree? 🙂 He thinks I have a “Start Menu”. I think we all need to drop Mr Red a note to ask what that little menu on the top right of his Mac Desktop is for 😉

  • Argggh – I can see you’re on the slippery slope towards Windoze !!!
Using kconsole instead of xterm and those folders on the desktop imply you
use point-and-click to find your files instead of good old “ls” !

    Call ureself a Unix bod ????????????? 😉 😉 😉

Please please please please tell me that you still use a proper text editor roflol

    And as for kde/gnome – what’s wrong with good-old lightweight fwvm ???

(says he lighting the fuse and running…..)

  • Oi! What’s this – pick on John day? 🙂

I use kconsole cos it’s tabbed, and I need about 400 tabs open at any one time 🙂

    jmd@cadmium:~/Desktop$ echo $EDITOR
    /bin/vi

And there’s the editor question answered! [0]

Banged to rights on the files on the Desktop, though, but in my defence, I’ve only just copied them over from backup after upgrading my disk – they’re just there temporarily.

As for fvwm – it’s too bloody bloated! If I’m short of RAM, I’ll use twm or wm2, thanks 😀

    And while we’re at it:

Ah well, at least you’re using Firefox 😉

[0] Text editor wars FTW! The only dick-size war that can be won by the smallest and least functional 🙂

  • lights fuse, steps back and watches the fun 😉

  • You’re a pair of rotters 🙂
