Castlevania – Harmony of Dissonance (GBA)

Harmony of Dissonance CoverSo, I’m just incapable of leaving this game alone. A bit more rummaging around and more skulaton whippeding happened and I found myself locked in a room with DEATH who helpfully explained a bit more plot to me before coming at me waving a scythe. Well, his first form was dispatched pretty easily (probably something to do with me being level 40 – hmmm I wonder if that means I get a mount) but his second form was a little trickier. Not actually difficult, mind you, just tricky. I used an awful lot of potions, but c’est la vie.

The next room contained a Griffons Wing (or something) which, while not actually giving the gift of flight, gives me an uber-springy leap which is more than sufficient to get me to all the places I couldn’t reach before. It’s getting hard to tell how far through the game I am because there are half a dozen places which were previously innaccessible that I can now get to.

I also played with a wee machine which announced that it was cheerfully draining part of the cave system. I don’t know what it’s talking about – I don’t think I’ve encountered anywhere with water. We’ll soon see, I suppose.
