Castlevania – Dawn of Sorrow (DS)

Zombie Dinosaur ThingyThis is him. This is where I left off the last time. This guy is a royal pain in the neck. A quick check of my stats at lunchtime tells me I’m level 31, pretty poorly equipped and low on potions. The chances of going head-to-head with the infamous zombie-dino-thingy are pretty slim as it stands, so I think I need to go on a cash trawl followed by a shopping trip before progressing. I’ll get the thing in the end, though, mark my words. Interestingly, the Soma in that screenshot seems to have a much nicer pointed stick than I have. Something tells me I haven’t been paying attention to the upgrade system properly. Maybe it’s time to revist the manual 😉

Still, I do seem to be further in than I thought – a lot of the map is, if not filled in, at least exposed. That’s the trouble with Castlevania games – you’re never quite sure how big they actually are.  Not a bad thing.
