Moving Day – Seven
Well, last night involved working out exactly what needed to be done. Todays tasks are to get Crown Relocations organised for next week to take the stuff we’re moving to Oz into storage. We need to sort out what we’re taking to a rented place. Realistically it’s only going to be what we can take on the plane with us, so we’re going to be living quite light for a few weeks. And speaking of rented places, today we need to start getting somewhere to live organised. There’s a few places up for let in the next village and they seem happy to take a short lease so we’ll need to get cracking on that one.
Medicals are booked in for tomorrow, then we’re going off to the Zoo for the afternoon. Sure, it seems like a blatant waste of half a day, but we need something to take out minds off things.
The various documents we need to organise should be arriving from our migration agent this morning, so we should be able to get them all sorted out and back to them sharpish. Our sponsor in Australia also has to update a couple of forms (just because the process has taken longer than usual) so we’ll need to wait for them arrive and hand them all in together.
I think the biggest problem we face is what to do with all the stuff we’re not taking. We realistically don’t have time to sell it any more.
