Blimey! You’re a keen lot! Traffic does a little bit of a jump on Tuesdays – must be because it’s the only day I have anything to say!

Anyway, applications for the Skilled Australian Sponsored visa subclass which were lodged between the 14th and 22nd of November are currently being allocated case officers. This means that we’ll either be allocated a case officer next week or, as one particular “they report a week behind so they don’t get lots of phone calls” conspiracy theory goes, this week!

We’ll just have to wait and see. It’s all getting very exciting because once the case officer is allocated, their main priority is getting your application off their desk, so everything tends to go very quickly.

We had an open day on Sunday, so we’ve now had a couple of other families viewing the house, all of whom seemed very positive. Our original buyer (who’s not happy that we’re back on the market) was on the phone claiming that he could still meet an entry date of end of July – that’s nice for him, but we certainly can’t – when you’re shipping things to the other side of the world, you really need to give the shipping company a bit of notice :)

Anyhoo, it’s looking kinda like we’ll have the visa before we have the house sold which will be simultaneously frustrating but helpful. Here’s hoping for a quick sale.
