17-21
Apparently – 17-21st October are being processed as we speak. We’re 28th November. The rate seems to be 2 weeks processed per week, if that makes any sense.
Anyway, we were down in Northampton at the weekend – our sponsors are over for a few weeks and, given that they’ve come all the way round the world to visit family, we reckoned the least we could do was drive down for the day. So a splendid time was had by all – it was really nice to see everyone again, even if it was only briefly, and we feel thoroughly recharged.
Also, on the house front, our buyer has managed to sell his place so we’re going to be setting an entry date in the next week or so. I think we’re going to push for something sooner rather than later, to keep things moving along. Their buyer is a first – timer, so they may be quite keen to move early. We’ll see how it goes.
The rumours spreading around our village about where we are (and aren’t) going are spectacular to say the least – not helped by my friend across the road who insists on telling wilder and wilder amount of misinformation with every turn.
Another weight off our mind is that my wife’s Aunt is very much a cat person and has offered to adopt our moggy when we go. This is a huge burden off our shoulders because we’ve had her for near on twenty years. She’s a fine old lady, but is sadly too old to make the journey. At least we know she’ll be in good hands.
So – all going according to plans – it looks like the end of August could be a date to remember.
