Pre-departure Seminar

Our agency was holding a pre-departure seminar yesterday, so we went along to see what it was all about. Essentially, it was a chance to speak with some recommended firms who specialise in things like financial planning, overseas shipping, and so on. The main thrust of the seminar, though, was to mingle with other people who are planning to emigrate.

Trouble is, it was horribly depressing because the vast majority of people we spoke to had already been granted their visas and ours seems to be constantly drifting forwards. So, all in all, not a hugely positive experience.
