Astro Boy: Omega Factor (GBA)

Astro Boy - Omega Factor

Just what the doctor ordered – an ennui-breaking side scrolling blaster from Treasure, the company who brought us the sublime Radiant Silvergun. It has everything – a surreal black-hotpanted non-baby with a finger lazer, ultra powerful arm cannon, and, erm, butt-mounted gatling gun. No, really! Oh, and jetboots.
There are also RPG-lite elements in there, whereby various aspects of your abilities can be permanently powered up by finding new characters throughout the game. But that’s all gloss – Omega Factor is all about what Treasure do best – blowing massive enemies to tiny bits using a wide array of stupid powerful weapons.

So, just finished the second chapter and about to embark on the third. Once I’ve completed the game, it’ll be time to start again on hard mode. Then I’ll be looking to start adding zeros to the end of the score and shaving seconds off the best times. I love treasure. They’re my friends.
