Legend of Dora the Explorer – Ocarina of The Map

Zelda Collectors Edition Box ArtStill not out of Jabu Jabu’s Belly, but I have managed to get stupid fish girl to the sacred stone. Unfortunately, she was sooked up into the ceiling by a noodly appendage. I’m now stuck at the mini boss. I had been thwapping him in the coupon with the boomerang but then couldn’t get behind him to skelp his glowy-green arse. It occurred to me, in the dead of night, that I probably need to keep my distance and use my shiny new boomerang.

Anyway, les famille now have a new aggravation tactic. Whenever I open the map screen, I get a pianissimo chorus of ‘it’s the map, it’s the map, it’s the map etc’. Which is fine. Except when I find the map chest. Or the compass. At which point I get a fortissimo chorus of the same.

Add to that the ‘ding ding ding’ whenever I’m low on health (which is often) and playing Zelda is becoming quite a symphonic experience.

Fortunately, the nice Linn Kan IVs that the audio is coming from go considerably louder than the fam’s vocal chords 🙂
