Prizewinner Feb 2005
Its Debbie here. Long time since I posted ;-). The kids and I went to a Prizewinning Ceremony and Art Exhibition at the Scottish Mining Museum on Friday. It was the Big Draw – Big Machines Art competition that took place in all the Midlothian Schools last Autumn.
Various children from Tristan’s school had entered it via the Art Teacher/Specialist. —–Tristan was one of the Prizewinners!—— much to our delight. He won some lovely art materials and a certificate. We are over the moon about it as Tristan has worked so hard at school during his time there and this is the icing on the cake for him. We had our photographs taken with the Mining Manager, Educational Liaision Officer for the Mining Museum and Rhona Brankin, our local MSP, who were warm and charming towards us and all of the people who came to the event. It was wonderful!!
Tristan helped tidy up after the event on his own initiative and handed out lollies to all and sundry.. he is such a caring and kind little boy. We are so proud of him for winning the prize and Im sure he stole the show with the crowd with his wee smile and his polite hospitality. !! We are all still on cloud 9! When we go into school Im sure that he will be overwhelmed with congratulations from all and sundry on his achievement!
