Gemstorm
Technically, this isn’t finished, but as it never will be, it was released anyway. I do still have the Blitz Basic 3D source code for this if anyone wants to take it on. Basically, it’s a 3Dish version of Boulderdash/Repton. It was originally going to have 64 levels but, well, my house burned down when I’d only done 16. I recovered the source code a few weeks back, but as I no longer use PCs, I can’t run blitz to finished it. I’ll probably port it to the mac at some point though (cos I’m like that). Still, the game is fun and playable up to level 16. Graphics were done by my lovely wife 🙂
Note from the future: Ok, I may well be able to finish this because I FOUND THE SOURCE! Hooray!

Hi!
My daughter plays this game on a Dell XPS MediaCenter. Looks great, plays great until… it freezes. The game, the computer, nothing responds short of turning off the power to the computer. Not a good action to take. I waited an hour to see if the pc would fix things up but to no avail. She’s at level 6 with 25 gems left. Any thoughts?….
Thanks

Yikes! That sounds odd! I’ve never heard of any more problems of this nature in the time that Gemstorm has been around. All I can really suggest is to make sure you have the most recent video drivers installed.

Got it going much better now with compatability setting with Windows 2000. The music isn’t tinny and it doesn’t freeze.
Now she’s at level 17 and can’t figure out how to get through or into the area enclosed by the red wall (Wall of Goop). Any hints?
Thanks

I wish I had too 🙁 Sadly, the source code has gone so I’ve no real option to do any more on it 🙁
